Frequently Asked Questions

Is CFCI a public school? What is a charter school?

Yes! A charter school is a deregulated public school which typically has more freedom and flexibility than a school can get through magnet status or waivers. They may not charge tuition, and may not discriminate.

What are the school hours?

For K-5th grade, school hours are 8:15am-2:45pm. For 6-8th grade, school hours are 8:15pm-3:00pm. Doors open at 7:30am and we have an early morning care program.

Does CFCI have Buses for transportation?

Founders of CFCI had to set priorities in how resources would be utilized, and chose to emphasize quality teachers and safe facilities over providing an elaborate transportation system. That means we do not provide transportation, but ask that all parents provide transportation to and from school. We encourage neighborhood car pools.
