Beth
Carter was one of the founding teachers at CFCI, and is teaching
kindergarten this year – her 8th at CFCI. She doesn’t
usually reveal how many years she has taught elsewhere, but has
enjoyed all of them, teaching at the college level, third grade,
first grade, and preschool.
Ms. Carter is
a National Board Certified Teacher, and has traveled with the N.C.
Zoo to Uganda twice teaching environmental education to Ugandan
teachers. She also sailed the Inner Passage in Alaska with the RAINIER,
a NOAA ship that uses multi-beam sonar to create hydrographic maps.
Ms. Carter has
two daughters. The older daughter is a sophomore at N.C. State,
and the younger is a junior at Hoggard High School, and may graduate
someday.
