Beth Carter will be teaching kindergarten in 2009-2010 - her 10th year at CFCI - and is one of the founding teachers of the school. She graduated from Georgia Southern College and UNC Chapel Hill wiht a masters degree in Reading. Mrs. Carter has taught at the college level, third grade, first grade, kindergarten and preschool.

Ms. Carter is a National Board Certified teacher, and has traveled twice in teaching related projects with the N.C. Zoo(to Uganda), and with NOAA to Alaska.

She has two daughters, who will both be students at N.C. State in the fall of 2009, and is excited about plans to travel with them to five countries in Europe in summer of 2009.
