Michael
Zentmeyer comes to CFCI with 32 years experience working in public
schools in New Hanover County. He was an elementary grade teacher,
peer evaluator and, for the past 13 years, an elementary school principal.
He retired in January 2008 after being the principal of Parsley Elementary
School from 2001-2007. This opportunity to serve as the Human Resource
Coordinator for CFCI gives him the chance to again be a part of a
school and to work for children. As
a 32 year resident of New Hanover County, Michael has developed
interests that fit this area. He enjoys tennis, sailing and golf.
He has two children, a daughter at UNC Chapel Hill and a son at
Laney. The newest family member is Noah, a 7 month old mixed breed
puppy. Travelling has also become a hobby, and since retiring Michael
has visited California, the Grand Canyon, Jamaica and Ohio.
