Sarah
McCorcle is originally from Lynchburg, VA. She attended VA Tech for
undergraduate where she earned a BA in History and English. After
undergraduate school, she worked as a counselor/teacher with Eckerd
Youth Alternatives for two years while living in the woods with at-risk
children. She went to NC State for graduate school and earned her
Masters in Education in Secondary Social Studies. She taught at Southern
High School in Durham in 2001 and began teaching at CFCI after moving
to Wilmington in 2002. She now teaches middle grades Language Arts
and 6th grade Social Studies.
She loves spending
time with her husband, her daughter and her dog. She enjoys kayaking,
photography, hiking and cooking.
