Sharon
D. Moore, a native of Illinois, moved to North Carolina in 2005.
She graduated from the University of Wisconsin (Madison, WI) with
her B.A. in Instrumental Music and from American University (Washington,
DC) with her M.F.A. in Arts Managements. Her main instruments are
clarinet and piano and she also is the Choir Director at the Unitarian
Fellowship.
Her arts management experiences include: Yale University’s summer
Norfolk Festival (New Haven, CT), the New World Symphony (Miami,
FL), the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, and the Atlanta
Young Singers children’s choir. Most recently she taught music at
New Horizons Elementary School and Chorus at Roland Grise Middle
School.
Sharon’s interests include her husband Jerry Chatlos, rising 6th
grade daughter Nadica, rising 7th grade son Sandro, and their high
maintenance two year-old rescue border collie Kelsy.
